NATALIE McCool is touring the UK on the back of her lilt-pop single You & I, and plays the Brudenell in Leeds on March 15.
Q magazine said the song, quickly buried itself under listeners’ skins with its mechanically-brushed drums and jazz-inflected pangs of lovesick fragility.
The Liverpool based songwriter has taken the single from her second album The Great Unknown, the follow-up to 2013’s eponymously titled debut.
A spokesman said: “Perfect future pop that sets Natalie apart from her contemporaries, her early work was built on a foundation of deliciously dark, gloomy indie-pop.
“The Great Unknown is a new awakening - emerging from the shadows and rising victoriously with a number of prickly pop tunes.”
