A KEIGHLEY magician and mentalist will perform in his hometown to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Francis Robinson will present his ‘mental mind magic’ event at Central Hall in Alice Street on May 6.

He promises an evening of fun and entertainment.

Francis said he had a strong interest in magic as a child and, despite his life taking a different direction, he kept returning to magic, performing for family and friends.

In 2015 he began offering his services to charity events to gain experience, and is now attracting paid bookings for wedding parties and corporate events.

Francis said that most of his experience had been performing close-up table magic.

He said: “I am now moving onto offering a set routine as part of my package where I can fully engage with the spectators during my mentalism routines.

“This combines misdirection, sleight-of-hand and psychology to create fun and engaging mind reading effects.”

The Cancer Research UK event will be the first that Francis has organised himself.
