WILLE And The Bandits hit Keighley tomorrow after stealing the show at Scarborough’s Top Secret Blues Festival.

The Daily Telegraph called the band one of the best live acts in the country, and they were among the four finalists in last year’s UK Blues Challenge and finalists in the British Blues Awards 2016 for best drummer and bassist.

The band began with Wille’s decision to return to his birthplace of Australia after finishing school in the UK. Busking to pay his bills, Wille made his way from Sydney to Cairns before eventually returning to the South West of England, where he teamed up with experimental percussionist and drummer, Andrew Naumann.

The pair started to busk together and were greeted by huge crowds trying to get a glimpse of their earthy original sound.

Off the back of this, they were given their own gigs and the group Wille and The Bandits was born.

Six years on, and with the addition of bass player Matthew Brooks, they have played some of Europe’s most famous arenas, including the Olympia in Paris, and completed two tours with Status Quo, as well as opened for Joe Bonamassa and the John Butler Trio,

They have also appeared at Glastonbury, where in 2014 they were listed in the ‘Top Ten Must See Bands’ by BBC Radio 1.

Wille and The Bandits play Keighley Blues Live at the Octagon club, Bradford Road, Sandbeds. Support comes from Ross Connor, who boasts catchy hooks, loud guitars, thumping kick drum, howlin’ vocals and footstomping blues rock.
