BINGLEY venue Maverick’s 80s Lounge is hosting a Michael Jackson tribute night tomorrow.

The new venue, formerly the Midland Hotel, has also provided a new home for the Bingley Jazz Club, which holds its first session there today.

Maverick’s promises a thriller of a night for fans of Jackson, with a three-course meal to accompany the Michael Jackson Tribute Show.

A spokesman said: “The man behind the Michael Jackson Tribute Show has entertained audiences across the globe and was even approved by the King of Pop himself!

“The tribute act has perfected the level of detail that has gone into crafting Michael Jackson’s style, moves and sound.”

General manager, Mark Evans, said the show is the third part of Maverick’s new Dinner Show Dance events.

He said: “We have some amazing acts coming up, including The Cover Up, who perform songs from the 60s until the present day, Michael Buble by Andy Otley, who is one of the top Buble tribute acts and was a contestant on The Voice UK, and in the summer the hugely-successful Take That 2, who performed at the O2 Arena in London alongside Take That.”

Admission to the Michael Jackson Tribute Show is free, but advance booking is necessary. The dinners cost £19.95 per person.

Bingley Jazz Club will provide a jazz night every Thursday from 8.30pm, beginning this week with the Airevalley Men playing classic jazz numbers.

Other acts who will be performing during the next couple of months include the Kate Peter Quartet, Harry Long Good Time Jazz Band and Michaela Smith Quartet.

Mark said: “The event will give our audiences the opportunity to discover a wealth of jazz styles as well as a fantastic evening of musical entertainment. The event is free entry.”
