SEAN Lock, Count Arthur Strong, Joel Dommett and Jon Richardson are among comedians performing at the Grand Theatre in Leeds.

Sean is a team captain on popular TV comedy quiz 8 Out Of 10 Cats and performs his latest show, Keep It Light, on Sunday and Monday.

His stand-up is a blend of finely-tuned hyperactive imagination, surreal imagery and insightful observations on the human condition. Sean has toured extensively during the past 20 years, with shows including Lockipedia and Purple Van Man, and was responsible for BBC2 sitcom 15 Storeys High.

Hot on Sean’s heels is the other 8 Out Of 10 Cats team captain, Jon Richardson, with his new show, The Old Man, on May 14.

Count Arthur Strong is a much-loved character created by Steve Delaney, who coincidentally worked at Leeds Grand Theatre as a stage hand back in the 70s.

His latest show, The Sound Of Mucus, will be at the Grand on April 9, following donkey’s years on his award-winning BBC Radio 4 series and the huge success of his BBC TV show. Back in the 70s, creator Steve crewed dozens of shows; doing ‘get ins’ and ‘get outs’ in the theatre where his godfather was legendary chief electrician, Billy Kay.

Last year’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here runner-up, Joel Dommett, will present his solo comedy show at Leeds Grand on April 30. Joel has received great critical acclaim for his Edinburgh Fringe shows, from where he went on to appear in numerous television shows .
