MUSIC fans are being urged to snap up tickets for Mike Sanchez’s appearance in Keighley on Friday, March 24.

The world-renowned rhythm and blues singer, pianist and songwriter is playing Keighley Blues Live at the Octagon in Bradford Road, Sandbeds.

Jesus Miguel “Mike” Sanchez is a Spanish-English heritage, and is best known for his work with the Big Town Playboys, touring three times with Eric Clapton.

A Keighley Blues Live spokesman said: “Now residing in Avila, Spain, Mike’s visits to the UK have in recent years become increasingly rare – especially to the north of England.

“A chance to see him perform live with his band is definitely not to be missed.

“With Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings and his own band, his charismatic on stage presence lifts the show above that of the average rhythm and blues performers.

“His indelible image as a frenetic front man, pumping powerful boogie-woogie from the piano, has won him fans all over the world and attracted a following from many famous rock and blues legends who have lined up to work with him.

“Robert Plant, Andy Fairweather Low, Albert Lee, Little Willie Littlefield, Champion Jack Dupree and Bo Diddley, have all benefited from sharing the stage with the in-demand Sanchez.”
