BANDS and singers are this month competing in Keighley for a place at the hugely-popular Bingley Music Live festival.
The annual Emerging Talent competition begins on April 12 and will continue on the following three Wednesdays at the Exchange Arts Centre.
A panel of judges at the Russell Street venue will choose bands from each heat to play in the final on May 19.
The eight bands will then compete for one of two slots on the Main Stage and one of two slots on the 2nd Stage at the festival at Bingley’s Myrtle Park from September 1 to 3.
The contenders include The Sailmakers, from Keighley, singer Oliver Pinder, Your Illuminations, Sparkly Deathtrap, Mob Doctors, Cheap Teeth and The Harriets
Headliners for Bingley Music Live are Manic Street Preachers, The Kaiser Chiefs and The Wombats.
