RED-HOT tango, stunning dance and a musical favourite make up three newly-announced shows at Bradford Alhambra.

Tango Moderno runs from November 7 to 11, Rambert’s Ghost Dances And The Works runs from November 15 to 17, and the musical Crazy For You is from April 10 to 14 next year.

Tango Moderno is the new stage spectacular from former Strictly Come Dancing professionals and tango superstars Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace.

A spokesman said: “Tango was born in Argentina more than 150 years ago, but has since intoxicated the world with its incredible passion and intensity.

“Classic and timeless yet at the same time modern and fresh, tango is the dance of the people that has captured a million hearts.”

Christopher Bruce’s Ghost Dances is possibly the most popular work in dance company Rambert’s history. It tells stories of love and compassion, as death – in the form of the iconic ‘ghost dancers’ – interrupts the daily lives of ordinary people.

The acclaimed Watermill Theatre production of Crazy For You is described as the ultimate feelgood musical. It features Tom Chambers, who starred in the musical Top Hat and competed in Strictly Come Dancing, and showcases music from the Gershwin brothers’ songbook.

Mistaken identities, heartbreak, happiness and a wealth of memorable tunes, including I Got Rhythm, They Can’t Take That Away From Me, Nice Work If You Can Get It and Embraceable You.
