CLAIRVOYANT medium Steve Holbrook is returning to the district on June 28 for an appearance at Wilsden Conservative Club.

The former hairdresser, who promises ‘psychic vibration on the medium wave’, can be seen at a 7.30pm presentation.

Steve has attracted huge audiences for his claims to hear the voices of loved ones that have passed away.

His ability started from behind the salon chair, and he now visits theatres and hotels around the country, and as far as the Caribbean, demonstrating what he calls his ability to act as a telephone exchange between this world and the spirit world.

Steve said that even as a child he was aware that life existed beyond the grave, when he awoke to find five soldiers marching through his bedroom. He added: “This was very unnerving experience but it was to give me an early glimpse of what was to come, and now it’s as natural as breathing to me.”

Steve originally worked in a busy hairdressing salon in Leeds city centre and feels that his years behind the chair – having that personal contact with the customers – stimulated his natural clairvoyant abilities.

He said: “I often wonder if they kept coming back for my ability as a hair stylist or the possibility that they might receive a message from a relative who had passed away!”

One of Steve’s best friends is Jane MacDonald, singer and co-presenter on ITV’s Loose Women, whom he met in a Spiritualist Church many years ago. Steve predicted she would be on BBC TV as part of a cruise entertainment documentary, and the following year she starred in ‘docu-soap’ The Cruise and went on to have a best-selling debut album.

She dedicated her biography to Steve, calling him her inspiration and guru, and meanwhile Steve himself wrote three books entitled Light in the Darkness, Out of this World and Survival.

Tickets for the Wilsden presentation cost £16 on the door or by calling 01274 730000 (option one).
