FOUR ‘heart mummies’ are organising a superhero fun day to raise cash for Leeds Children’s Heart Unit.
The mothers from Cullingworth, Keighley, Bradford and Eldwick all have children who received treatment at the life-saving unit.
There have come together to organise the family event on Saturday, July 29 at Denholme Conservative Club.
The club is providing the premises after supporting previous fundraising events organised by one of the mums, Bex Rodgers, daughter of the venue’s stewardess.
The event, which runs from 11am onwards, will feature superhero fancy dress, pony rides, a bouncy castle, tombola, raffle, food and cake stall.
The organisers were this week still looking for a children’s entertainer.
The mothers are Bex from Fell Lane in Keighley, Heidi Pattison from Cullingworth, Anna Hunter from Bradford, and Freya Carroll from Eldwick.
Between them the four have raised many thousands of pounds for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund through individual events, and were put in touch with each other by the charity.
Raffle prizes include in an executive match day experience at Keighley Cougars, a place on the Stardom Theatre School summer school, three weeks’ free trial of Baby Ballet, and Bradford City tickets.
Anyone who can provide an entertainer should email pattisonh@aol.com.
