PROMENADE theatre has returned to Bolton Abbey in the shape of Robin Hood’s adventures.
The estate is following the success of last year’s outdoor drama Wind in the Willows by welcoming back Gobbledigook Theatre. The theatre company is presenting their family adaptation of the English legend every day until Sunday, August 6.
The audience will follow the Merry Men and the Sheriff of Nottingham from the River Wharfe to the stepping stones, through surrounding woodland and into the Priory Ruins.
A spokesman said: “Join them for a song in their woodland camp and a toast to Robin Hood round the table.”
Visitors will be moving around with the show and they are advised to take along minimum possessions to carry other than a light folding chair or picnic rug.
There are matinee and evening performances each day. The show is expected to last approximately two hours with a 30-minute interval. Tickets include free admission to Bolton Abbey for the day.
Tickets must be pre-booked and cost £18.50 for adults and £12.50 for children. Children aged under three enter free. Refreshments will be available before the short during the interval.
