A WEST End performer has set up a new dance school in Riddlesden teaching ballet and street dance.

Infinity Dance Academy will be run by professional dancer and choreographer Caroline Fallis-Taylor who has performed in the West End.

Caroline previously ran the Yorkshire Dance Academy Bradford, and has 15 years’ experience teaching dance to children and adults.

A guest and resident teacher at several schools and colleges across West Yorkshire, she has taken previous students across the world for street dance competitions.

Lessons will begin with Imperial Classical Ballet, including the chance to enter exams, and street dance using the United Dance Organisation syllabus.

Caroline hopes to introduce other styles once the academy is established at the Meeting Rooms, on Banks Lane in Riddlesden.

Caroline herself began performing at a very young age in productions of Annie and The King And I at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford.

The theatre became familiar to her as she worked for many years for QDOS Entertainment which produced a number of shows including pantomimes at the theatre.

Caroline went on to train at Northern Ballet Manchester and Preston College.

She started her professional career in London, appearing in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Evita and Zoo Nation’s Into The Hoods, as well as performing at the iconic Café de Paris in the heart of the West End.

She took part in the national tour of Spirit Of The Dance’s One World.

Caroline has also worked alongside big street-dance names Kenrick Sandy and Sisco Gomez, as well as choreographing for Darren Day and actor Johnathan Wrather.

Infinity will team up with the United Dance Organisation to offer opportunities in the streetdance world, following the organisation’s syllabus to offer accreditation from a pre-primary level upwards.

Caroline said: “Working in partnership with the UDO also gives Infinity the platform to create a crew to enter the highly-acclaimed UDO UK and World Street Competitions.”
