A BARRAGE of laughter is promised from stand-ups performing this month at Keighley Comedy Club.

Jamie Sutherland, Tom King, Stephen Armstrong and Jennifer Banks will be on stage on Thursday, August 31 alongside resident MC Chris Brooker.

The Cafe Choux Choux at Keighley railway station is again expected to be busy for the 8.30pm gig.

Chris said: “Edinburgh doesn’t get the monopoly on brilliant comedy this summer. Oh no, not for a split second.

“Keighley Comedy Club will yet again reach into its bag of tricks and pull out four fantastic acts, sure to provide a night filled with laughter as autumn looms in the distance.”

Chris said that headline act Jamie Sutherland was simply an incredibly funny man.

He said: “From the moment Jamie steps on stage to the moment he steps off he’ll have you laughing uncontrollably.

“ A veteran headliner, he’s wowed audiences from comedy clubs to working men’s clubs to cruise ships to sports halls to... well, you get the idea.

“A barrage of non stop humour from a phenomenal comedian that marries the best of the old school comedians with everything you look for in a cutting edge comic.”

Chris said support would be provided by the “supremely bearded” Tom King and there would be shorter sets from Stephen Armstrong and Jennifer Banks.
