HAWORTH Festival is branching out with a weekend of special activities in the village’s Old School Rooms from October 13 to 15.

Haworth Festival Extra will begin on the Friday with a ceilidh by the band Phoenix, raising money for Christmas events in the village.

There will be open deck night on the Saturday, allowing people to share tracks from their record collections in half-hour themed sets.

New York singer/songwriter Todd Carey will headline on Sunday with one of only two public gigs in the UK for his Future Throwback tour.

Todd is hailed as a larger-than-life personality who offers refined songcraft covering many genres. His music has appeared on MTV shows and films, most notably Palo Alto, and he co-wrote the Megan Trainor song 3am.

Tickets for the ceilidh and Todd Carey concert are available from Cobbles & Clay and Hawksbys in Main Street. Admission to the open deck night is free.
