SKIPTON Players will stage the dark comedy Natural Causes at Skipton Little Theatre from next Tuesday to Saturday, October 14.
The story for the show, which will start at 7.30pm each night, follows Walter Bryce and his wife Celia, who live in a large Georgian country house to which Vincent has been invited without knowing the reason.
Vincent is a professional suicide merchant who has been summoned by Walter and mistakenly assumes that his potion is for Walter’s consumption.
The cast for the Skipton Players’ production includes Robin Le Poidevin, Bethany Anne Pugh, Andrew French, Helen Parkinson and Richard Wilkinson.
The author of Natural Causes, Eric Chappell, is one of the top writers of comedy in Britain.
His first stage play, The Banana Box, inspired the classic TV series Rising Damp which won a BAFTA award for best situation comedy.
Skipton Little Theatre will host a professional production of comedy classic Steptoe And Son on March 3.
Hambledon Productions will perform a stage version of the sitcom, written by Ray Galton and Alan Simpson and adapted by John Hewer.
