BORN TO Go Wild brings wildlife expert Ray Mears to the Victoria Theatre in Halifax.

Ray is known as a survivalist, Bushcraft expert, author, photographer, star of many Television series.

He can be seen at the Halifax theatre on October 30 with the show taking the theme of enjoying wild places.

Ray promises to give the audience a unique insight into his wilderness travels and survival techniques.

The show will include tales of Ray’s most recent visits to Australia, where he has been looking at the extraordinary conditions endured by the indigenous wildlife, and he take the opportunity to talk extensively about fire, what it means to humanity, and the essential role it plays in our survival.

Ray survived a helicopter crash when filming his first TV series in the early 90s and helped Northumbria police track down one of the UK’s most notorious criminals in 2010.

He has been discovering the joys of exploring the wilderness from an early age. He is fascinated by those wild areas of the planet that are as yet undisturbed by civilized human activity.

Ray will take audiences on a journey that he values for cultural, spiritual, moral and aesthetic reasons and explain why he believes these are vital for creativity and the development of the human spirit.

Ray’s TV series Tracks, World of Survival, Trips, Money Can’t Buy with Ewan McGregor, and The Real Heroes of Telemark have catapulted him into the public eye.
