LOUX will play their home town of Leeds to launch their debut single Meet Me Halfway.

Vinyl Clash magazine said: “With the irresistible emotion of Jordan’s voice and the sharp guitar tone, I couldn’t help but continuously hit that repeat button.”

Meanwhile, Counterfeit magazine said the band’s performance was heart-warming and endearing, their guitar rhythms and dream-pop vocals creating a real energy and warmth in the room.”

Loux are an electronic three-piece band from Leeds, whose music is said to blend an energetic and carefully-subtle array of effects-laden guitars, minimal-yet-warm drum rhythms and hypnotic vocals.

The band launch their debut single on November 10 with a show at the 360 Club in Leeds.

A spokesman said: “Meet Me Halfway is built on layers of synth textures and sub-heavy guitar countermelodies, which crash into a chorus led by arpeggiated analog bass synth. It’s a mesmerising combination.”

The single follows the release of two live videos, Darling and Lungs, both filmed at the Victoria Baths in Manchester earlier this year.

Loux played their first live show in July this year, before they played the Blue Dot Festival at Jodrell Bank alongside Alt-J, Orbital, Pixies, Leftfield and Warpaint.
