A DESCENDANT of Dracula creator Bram Stoker will bring his own spooky tales to Haworth.

Dacre Stoker will present Stoker on Stoker, an evening exploring the writings and journals behind the famous Gothic novel Dracula.

The presentation is at the Old White Lion at the top of Main Street on November 10.

Dacre has followed in the footsteps of his great grand-uncle by writing books officially endorsed by the Bram Stoker family estate.

In 2009 he was co-author of Dracula the Un-Dead, the official sequel to Dracula, and in 2012 co-editor with Elizabeth Miller of The Lost Journal of Bram Stoker: The Dublin Years.

Dacre’s next co-authored novel, a prequel to Dracula, is expected to be published next year. The film rights have been bought by purchased by Paramount Studios.

Dacre’s “compelling and informative” presentation in Haworth, weaves the details of Dracula’s history together with Stoker family lore.

Dacre also explores Bram Stoker’s life in Dublin and London, then separates fact from popular fiction, revealing the truth about all things Stoker and Dracula.

A spokesman said: “Customised to appeal to university groups, Gothic scholars, vampire fans, or history buffs, Stoker on Stoker has fascinated audiences

around the world, exploring the issues behind the mysteries that have baffled

Dracula scholars and fans since the book’s publication in 1897.”
