ALL THE way from the New Jersey shoreline comes Billy Walton to headline Keighley Blues Live on January 19.

Billy, who performs with the renowned Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, will appear at Keighley venue the Octagon with his own band.

For years Billy spent his time sharpening his skills, developing his stage act before in 2007 stepping up to centre stage with his own band.

Then 2010 Billy got the call to join masters of the USA’s ‘Asbury Park’ sound, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes.

For the next few years Billy toured with the Jukes in the States, while focusing his own band’s attention on the UK, playing 15 tours that have firmly established the group in the fertile British blues rock scene.

A Keighley Blues Live spokesman urges people to go along to see the band do what it does best – have a party.

He added: “There will be a stunning display of showmanship, musicianship, fun, and the sound of the New Jersey shore from a super tight band. Highly recommended for those wishing to dance!”

Singer-songwriter Benjamin Bassford will provide support from 7.30pm.

The spokesman said: “Forged in an old pit village outside Mansfield, singer-songwriter Bassford is a dynamic artist doused and nuanced in blues, roots and folk.
