GROOVY Happening at the Parkside Social Club in Haworth will be on Saturday January 13.

Favourite musicians will be playing covers and their own work at the venue on Butt Lane from 7.30pm.

Groovy spokesman Ann Wiles said Stuck in a Stance were a four-piece band who went down really well on their first performance at Groovy last year.

She said: “They played songs from such greats as Dire Straits, Black Sabbath and Lynyrd Skynyrd. A couple of punk songs and some rockabilly music completed their set.”

John Bruce, an experienced solo acoustic performer with a huge repertoire of music from folk to pop, will front The John Bruce Band with Simon Goddard playing lead guitar, John Brooksbank on bass guitar and Steve Gibson on drums.

They will be performing a good selection of covers from pop to rock.

Ann added: “Spence is a singer songwriter who will be playing his own work and some covers. He is well known in Haworth and is very popular with the Groovy audience!”

Admission is £3 on the door and there will be a raffle. All proceeds to Manorlands.
