WOW & Flutter is the title of the latest EP from Bradford band Glass Mountain. The disc will be released in February by Hide & Seek Records and will be accompanied by a mini-tour.
Clash magazine described one of the EP’s songs, Gin Flows Through My Veins, as grand, bold, beautiful noise and a perfectly-executed demonstration of restraint and release.
A spokesman said: “Taking their name from a David Hockney artwork, the quartet’s sound is drenched in visual allusion, marrying the size and the scope of Sigur Ros or The Cure to something more delicate and personal.
“Reminiscent of the spirit of hip-hop where anything can included, Glass Mountain draw influences from alt-rock, dream pop, post-rock, electronica and the orchestral swells and surges of The Beach Boys.
The six-gig tour includes the Fulford Arms, York, on February 9, and the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds on February 18.
