NORTH America beckons once more for Keighley’s legendary Goth rockers.

The band are heading over the pond this spring to perform at eight venues along the western seaboard of the USA and Canada.

They kick off the expedition at the Space Bar in San Diego on March 24 and over the following few days play Los Angeles, Santa Ana, Oakland and Seattle.

After a quick trip up across the border to Vancouver they head back down to Portland and Philadelphia.

They may feel particularly at home at one of the venues – the Funhouse in Seattle – for Keighley’s own Funhouse in North Street was one of the Skeletals’ hometown haunts in the 1980s.

The other US venues include the Astoria, Starline Social Club, Part Time Punks and Kung Fu Necktie.

Skeletal musician Roger “Trotwood” Nowell emailed the Keighley News the itinerary for the American tour from his hotel room in Japan.

Trotwood is currently trotting the globe accompanying Paul “Modfather” Weller in his ‘day job’ as guitar technician for the singer, songwriter and former The Jam frontman.

Once he’s back with Anne-Marie, Stan and the other Skeletal Family regulars, Trotwood will prepare for a host of appearances this year at Goth-themed festivals across Europe.

The band – who topped the UK Indie charts in the 1980s – will play the WGT festival for “dark” music and arts in Germany, the Owls and Bats Festival in Germany, and Gotham City in Leeds.
