A DAVID Bowie tribute night will be the flagship event for this year’s Fallfest in and around Glusburn Institute.

David Live will be performed at the arts and community centre on the Saturday evening during the September 21-23 family festival.

Organisers suggest early booking, since the act has received huge praise from watches, including BBC radio two DJ Chris Evans.

The opening night of Fallfest will see the return of the Falling Stars Theatre Company with its “immersive theatre” performance, along with the launch of Fallfest’s third beer and gin festival.

Saturday will be the family day, with fun runs for tots to teenagers and a 5k trail race for over-16s, along with music, stalls, hot food and a tea room.

The beer and gin festival concludes on the Sunday with a Poem and Pint session on in the afternoon, along with a matinee of the Falling Stars production.

The fallfest.co.uk website will reveal more details at Easter, people can contact 01535 632976.

David Live and their tribute show The Best of Bowie is described as a sincere and respectful dedication to David Bowie.

The band’s publicity states: “It is an honest and insightful musical tribute which looks back over Bowie’s incredible musical legacy.
