ICEBERG ahead for these three crew members of the Titanic as it heads across the Atlantic next month.

They are among 24 members of KYDZ Keighley Youth Theatre retelling the story of the ocean liner’s fateful maiden voyage.

Michael Corcoran, Will Bishop and Dylan Dean play sailors from various nationalities, while other members play passengers from across the classes.

They are thrown together in a web of intertwining fictional stories, beginning on the first day of the voyage and reaching their dramatic conclusions against the backdrop of the sinking.

Some of the stories centre on a rich young man travelling with a fiancee he can’t bear, an ill mother desperate to ensure her four children survive, a newly-appointed sailor hoping to become a captain one day, and a husband hiding a secret from his wife.

The cast of youngsters aged from 10 to 18 will perform the show, Unsinkable? Unthinkable!, on the stage at their regular rehearsal venue, Oakworth Methodist Church.

Unsinkable? Unthinkable! has been written and directed jointly by Sevi Ledgard, a former KYDZ member who became a leader several years ago, and current KYDZ member Georgia Knights, aged 18.

Unsinkable? Unthinkable! will be performed at Oakworth Methodist Church on Friday and Saturday, March 2 and 3, at 7.15pm.

The curtain goes up on the performance on both nights at 7.15pm.
