KEIGHLEY people are urged to put their best foot forward in the spring and summer season of Bradford Council’s guided walks.

A Bolton History Trail, on April 15, is a 2.5-mile circular walk exploring the hamlets of Bolton Outlanes, Hodgson Fold and Low Fold, which together are form the township of Bolton.

Meet Barbara Walker at 1.30pm at the Swing Gate public house, Idle Road, Bradford near Bolton Junction. The return is via Peel Park.

Walkers will go Downstream from Saltaire, on April 21 for a five-mile circular walk that forms part of the Saltaire World Heritage Day.

Meet Colin Pitts and David Anderson at 1.30pm outside the railway station, Victoria Road, Saltaire. Beforehand, walkers see the First World War-themed events in Roberts Park which start at 10am.

Slaughter Gap is the destination on April 22 on an eight-mile circular walk over Ogden Moor.

Meet Ken J Allen at 10am at the old Denholme Velvets Mill car park on the A629 at Denholme Gate.

April 25 will see walkers Going Hungry on Hunger Hill during a six-mile circular walk that involves a steady climb to walk the fields and pass above Middleton.

Meet David Anderson at 10.30am at Ilkley Swimming Pool car park off Denton Road.

Bluebells and Naughty Nuns, on May 2, is a 5.5 mile circular walk through bluebell woods with a few tales.

Meet Colin Pitts at 11am at the pay and display car park off Station Road, Esholt. Public transport users alight at Hollins Hill and walk down Station Road.

A journey To Bingley And Back is promised in May 9 in a six-mile circular walk taking in canal, refund words.

Meet Edgar Bielby at 10.30am at Saltaire Railway Station, Victoria Road.
