A WRITER from Beechcliffe has released her seventh novel.

Patricia Rose this week published Fate Ticks Away as a follow-up to novels like Double Love, I Want to Sing Without Crying and The Girl on the Stairs.

One of her most recent novels, Nursing a Reputation, explored the decisions and challenges faced by a young woman on the threshold of adulthood.

Fate Ticks Away focuses on Bella, who receives an unexpected letter from an old friend that turns her life upside down.

The consequences are far-reaching and life-changing as she reconnects with a close friend from the past.

Patricia has a medical background having worked as a practice nurse for many years. Her love of the countryside and animals is strongly portrayed through her novels, and also finds an outlet for her photography.

Patricia is also a keen supporter of musical theatre.

She started writing as a catharsis many years ago, and although finding it difficult at first, she persevered and found the amazing healing powers it gave.

Double Love followed recently-divorced Lindy as she began a new life in search of happiness and contentment.

Despite her nursing career, Lindy faced the challenges of being a single woman torn between the past and a chance meeting with artist Robert.

I Want to Sing Without Crying returned to Lindy as she forged a complicated new life and a tense sexual relationship with the married artist.

To You Give I Give was a further instalment in the emotional relationship between Lynda and Robert which aimed to pull the reader’s heartstrings.

Patricia’s books are available from Amazon, and some bookshops.
