Local film students and aspiring directors are being asked for video clips spoofing their favourite movies.

The "five-minute wonders" can be entered in a competition offering funding for a film project and a red carpet premiere.

The organiser, leading film and TV streaming portal Filmon.com, is also looking for original short film ideas.

Film clips lasting from one to five minutes, whether film spoof, funny video moment or new screenplay idea -- should be uploaded to festivaltv.com.

Entries will be judged on originality and creativity rather than technical brilliance.
