CADS stage a musical!

Cullingworth's CADS are to stage a musical from the second time in its 40 year history.

The amateur theatrical group will celebrate its anniversary year with The King and I in October.

CADS marked its 20th year with the musical The Wizard of Oz and a production of Pinocchio. The group's first-ever show was the play Strike Happy and its first panto was Babes in Sherwood 1975 During the 40 years there have been 34 pantos, 36 plays, 18 musical revues and several junior shows.

Also being performed in 2010 are pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk, on February 16-20, and play Murdered to Death in May.

Panto tickets are on sale from the Chemist shop in Halifax Road, Cullingworth, on Thursday and Saturday mornings and Friday afternoons.
