SLEEPY Jake Segrave will perform with his band The Duvets at a concert in the Exchange Arts Centre in Keighley.

Singer-songwriter Jake, a regular performer in Keighley and the Worth Valley, will share the bill on Saturday, April 29 with Francis and Body To The Tide.

Headliners Francis, who won the Bingley Music Live Emerging Talent competition two years ago, promise cross-cultural epic hard rock with twists and turns aplenty.

Sleepy Jake and the Duvets, also Emerging Talent winners, will play punk, folk, ska and bluescore, while Brighton’s Body to the Tide will present grungy alt rock.

The fourth and final heat of this year’s Emerging Talent contest will be held on Wednesday May 3 at 7pm.

Several more local bands and singers will compete for a place on the main stage at this year’s Bingley Music Live supporting Manic Street Preachers and Kaiser Chiefs.

Pink Floydian, billed as one of the most authentic Pink Floyd tribute bands in the UK, will play at the Exchange in Russell Street on May 6.

The band was gathered together from the cream of North West Pink Floyd-loving musicians to deliver well over two hours of material from nine albums, including a full performance of Dark Side of the Moon.

An Exchange spokesman said: “Special attention will be given to the seminal Pink Floyd album Animals this year for the 40th anniversary.”

Late Night Legacy will be at the Exchange on May 12 to provide heart-thumping, jaw-dropping, spine-tingling funk rock for fans of Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Faith No More, and other 90s rockers.

Support comes from Universe 25, a recently formed Keighley-based rock outfit that mixes funky old-school grooves and punchy riffs.

The final of Emerging Talent will be held on May 19, with eight bands playing from 7pm.

The Road will launch their new album Rough Tracks, featuring original 60s-style blues rock, on May 20.

Roxy Musique will be at the Exchange on May 27 to faithfully recreate the sounds of Roxy Music in their prime.

Expect songs from 1972 to 1982, including Virginia Plain, Pyjamarama, Street Life, All I Want is You, Love is the Drug, Angel Eyes, Dance Away, Avalon, More Than This and Jealous Guy.

Hellbound Hearts, The Escapades and Vampire Death make it loud on June 3, promising astonishing heavy, catchy and standout music laced with wicked jagged riffs and pop-smart melodies.

The heaviness continues on June 10 as Guns Not Roses pay tribute to “the world’s most dangerous band” Guns N’ Roses.

The Exchange spokesman said: “Guns Not Roses deliver an authentic classic musical experience, focusing on performances from the notorious 1987-1993 era that fans associate most with the band.”

Asomvel, Arkham Witch and Hollowearth perform on June 24, with the pledge that they will “bludgeon your senses with a baseball bat and then retire to the bar”.
