THE XCERTS will bring their UK tour to the Brudenell Social Club, Leeds, on October 1, following their huge well-received set at the 2000trees Festival.

Latest single Feels Like Falling In Love gained more than 240,000 streams on Spotify in a week.

The single is said to fuse the heady euphoria production and stadium pomp of 80s Springsteen and Tom Petty with the dry, sharp wit of Cheap Trick.

A spokesman said: “A euphoric, exuberant anthem about falling in love written by a romantic realist, soundtracked like the hugest of 80s movie anthems ever.”

The Brighton-based three-piece had not released any new music since the critically-lauded There Is Only You album in 2014, spending the past three years touring with the likes of Biffy Clyro, Nothing But Thieves, Brand New, Deaf Havana, The Amazons, You Me At Six and Manchester Orchestra.

XCerts frontman Murray Macleod said: “We are so psyched to hit the road throughout September and October.

“It’s been a while since our last headline tour and we’re going to give it everything we’ve got. New jams, singalongs, and all the love. We intend on making these show as joyous and life affirming as possible.”
