A HAWORTH pub is holding a party to celebrate the first anniversary of reopening following major flooding.

The Mill Hey Brew House, known for many years as the Royal Oak, will host an all-day party of music and comedy.

Organiser Paul Jannetta said the facilities will begin on October 28 at 2.10pm, with acoustic blues guitarist and singer Steve Wilson performing his own material alongside classics.

Other performers will follow at approximately one-hour intervals in the following order.

Paul said: “Martin Rose is an accomplished guitar player who will blow your mind with his mesmerising acoustic guitar served with a refreshing twist.

“Magdalen Bath is a truly amazing singer-songwriter who will be performing her own material.

“Billy Joel meets Elton John as Shane Craig performs classic hits from all eras and wows you with his silky-smooth piano skills.”

Later will be band Three Bridges (6.10pm), north-east comedians Leon Brown and Carl B Gillespie (7.10pm), Late For Life with club classics (8.30pm), and a DJ featuring Amy on Sax (10pm).
