KEIGHLEY singers and bands will raise money for Manorlands by performing at a ‘birthday party’ for David Bowie.

Local woman Sue Burke is hosting the event at the Old Hall in Haworth on January 6 with support from Haworth music night Groovy Happening.

Among those taking part from 3pm will be Joe Tilston, Joe Dinsdale, The Ruby Stone Sound, DNA, Emily Falls, Steve Houldsworth and Ben Jordan.

There will also be face painting, Bowie cocktails and the DJ.

Sue, a regular at the Groovy Happening, held her first David Bowie party in January this year, around the time of the singer’s birthday and the first anniversary of his death.

There will be a meeting at the Old Hall on December 6 at 8pm for musicians interested in taking part in the latest David Bowie night.
