PLUMHALL, a popular draw at gigs in Keighley and Haworth, are back to hosting concerts at Cruck Barn in Appletreewick.

The Yorkshire-based songwriting duo of Michelle Plum and Nick Hall are bringing a host of touring acts to the barn at the Craven Arms.

This year Plumhall have performed at Manchester Bridgewater Hall and the London Palladium, as guests of Al Stewart, and won a songwriting award.

They have both written songs and performed in the forthcoming feature film The Runaways.

But Michelle and Nick they’re looking forward to returning to their ‘spiritual home’ to present nights of varied and exciting music, opening each evening with their own set.

Coming up on Friday, December 1 will be the legendary John Otway, the self-styled ‘Rock & Roll’s Greatest Failure’, combining a unique stage presence, hilarious antics, surreal comedy and a side-order of beautiful song-writing.

His career ranges from a debut appearance on The Old Grey Whistle Test, the euphoria of his first hit ‘Cor Baby That’s Really Free!’ in 1977, to his long-awaited second hit ‘Bunsen Burner’ in 2002 and a new album recorded in Monserrat.

Singer Reg Meuross will make his Cruck Barn debut on December 9 to use the venue’s renowned acoustics by singing and playing into one vintage microphone.

Making his fourth appearance at the Cruck Barn, on December 15, will be Liverpool legend Ian McNabb, who rose to fame in the 80s as the lead singer, songwriter and guitarist of The Icicle Works.
