THE RELAUNCH of a popular Keighley music exhibition looks set to be a success on Saturday.
Many music fans from yesteryear have promised to go along to the event at Keighley Library to mark the reopening of its Showtime 1960s display.
Two leading Keighley bands from the 1960s, The Presidents and the Doveston Brothers, will perform during the launch on June 9 from 1pm upstairs in the local history department.
Keighley historian Ian Dewhirst will give a talk.
The display – which will be in the library for the next few weeks – features photographs, newspaper cuttings and other memorabilia highlighting Keighley's music scene during the groovy decade.
The display, curated by Keighley Library staff member Janet Mawson, proved hugely popular when it was premiered last year. Local historian Malcolm Hanson is now preparing a follow-up exhibition for this autumn featuring 1970s music in Keighley.
