Nativity The Musical – Leeds Grand

BEFORE the show started we were faced by a bright, shiny stage set which definitely set the positive vibe for the show we were about to see.

The show is non-stop , with wonderful dancing, singing and stage sets throughout. The use of the huge cinema screen is very effective and is certainly needed for the finale.

The schoolchildren really were the heart of the show and all of them provided a brilliant performance. Patrick Burns (Jamie Chapman) was amazing and really had the audience in stitches with his stage presence. Mr Poppy (Simon Lipkin) was definitely the childish character he needed to be, and filled the theatre with laughter.

Mr Maddens was the soft, loving primary school teacher who lost his true love, but thankfully that all ended like a fairytale story. Daniel Boys played this part brilliantly and was word perfect throughout.

This show is filled with talent and is certainly a show not to be missed especially if you love the film as much as me.
