There’s a packed schedule ahead for East Riddlesden Hall during the festive season.

Here are a selection of events and attractions on offer this Christmas. East Riddlesden Hall’s shop and tearoom – Chase away those winter blue. Come warm up by treating yourself and loved ones to some fantastic food in our newly-refurbished tearoom.

You can even get some ideas for Christmas presents that are a bit different from the usual by popping along to our very warm and welcoming National Trust shop. Both shop and tearoom are open Saturdays and Sundays, 11am to 4pm until December 22.

Christmas fair – Do you need to get some last minute stocking fillers or need a place to start the Christmas shopping? Then don’t worry, visit our brilliant Christmas fair on December 1 (11am to 4pm) and choose from a wide range of wonderful hand-crafted gifts and foods.

Held in our Airedale Barn, the fair is a chance to stock up on all those special gifts you need for Christmas. Take your time to browse from more than 25 local stallholders and really get into the Christmas spirit!

Santa’s grotto – To celebrate the festive season and to make sure you are on the ‘good list’, come see Santa as he makes his annual visit to East Riddlesden Hall just before Christmas. Santa is very busy this time of year, so booking is essential. Please call (01535) 607075 to book your slot with our very special guest. The cost is £5 per child on December 14, 15, 21 and 22, between 11am and 3pm. Christmas concert – Want to get that Christmassy feeling? Then why not join us on December 15 for a Christmas concert by the Windstruments Flute Orchestra. It is free entry, but donations would be gratefully accepted. The concert will be held in our beautiful and atmospheric Airedale Barn from 2pm to 4pm. Call (01535) 607075 for more details.

Walk for Health – Fancy getting a little bit of a headstart on the New Year fitness regime, then come join us every Tuesday at 2pm up until December 17 for a free guided, low-impact walk around our grounds.

We always have two walk leaders to make your walk safe and enjoyable. Please note the finishing time of 3.30pm is an estimate, and the actual finish time will depend on the abilities of the group.
