EAST Riddlesden Hall's owners – The National Trust – have got something to keep the kids entertained every day over the last few weeks of the summer holidays across Yorkshire.

Whether it is a trip to the coast or the woods there are lots of things to do every day of the holidays. Here are just some of the things you can enjoy with us during the latter part of the summer break.

Our Children's House Tour events are still running for youngsters who are keen to find out what life was like 400 years ago.

Tailor-made especially for children, these lively Sunday tours are entertaining, engaging and fun.

They take place from 1pm to 1.30pm and are perfect for families with children and teenagers up to 16 years old. Groups are limited to 10 places so please arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Future Sunday tour dates are: August 30, September 6, September 13, September 20 and September 27.

Don't forget our weekly Greener Garden Tours which will continue to be staged on Wednesdays until September 30.

Anyone who wants to discover how to look after their gardens while taking care of the environment can join our head gardener Jill to pick up a host of informative tips.

Learn about the methods she uses and discover how you can exploit some of our eco-friendly techniques at home. This tour is free with general admission prices. Meet in the garden by the back porch of the house. Children are welcome to join in too.

Further afield, why not try out a new skill amidst the beauty of Yorkshire's great outdoors?

Come for an adventure in the Yorkshire Dales and try your hand at a number of fun activities.

For example, participants can learn how to find a geocache around the Malham Woods, pick up some essential mountain bike skills or find out more about the wildlife that lives around the Dales.

Lovers of Yorkshire's coastline can instead head to the beach – weather permitting!

Come along to Saltburn or Robin Hood's Bay and bring you bucket and spade. Look out for special days when our rangers will be running "Rock pool Rambles", helping to identify some of the fascinating creatures that live along our shorelines.

As if all the above isn't enough, we have also created a list of outdoor adventures for children called "50 things to do before you're 11¾."

This is jam packed with all of the things we used to do as kids, from climbing trees to jumping waves and delving into rock pools to see what you can find.

If that sounds like it’s for you, then check out our list of what to do and where in Yorkshire.
