KEIGHLEY people can get into the Christmas spirit with festive events and activities with the National Trust.

The charity is hosting special attractions at its properties across Yorkshire, including East Riddlesden Hall.

We've got concerts, wreath making days, Father Christmas visits and plenty to keep the kids busy -- take a look right here.

Here at East Riddlesden Hall people can shop at our annual Christmas Fair on the first weekend in December. There'll be a great range of hand-crafted gifts and food.

Families can book their children kids in to join Storytimes with Father Christmas so they can hear tales of his magical adventures and play party games.

Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, near Ripon, promise to take visitors' breath away on the run-up to Christmas.

As dusk settles, the ruins of the abbey look simply magical as they're floodlit with coloured light.

Wrap up warm, grab a hot drink and wander through the estate to see it all aglow.

We'll also have wreath-making workshops and a carol service to look forward to, and on weekends Father Christmas will be with us.

There'll be live festive music in the abbey Cellarium too - don’t hesitate to join in if you know the tune!

Nunnington Hall, near Thirsk, was welcome visitors to a 1920s family Christmas.

There will be a roaring fire and a glass of sherry from our butler, and the hall will be decorated, the dining room all ready for dinner and the sitting room boasting a present-laden Christmas tree.

The Fife family used to decorate the house with flowers and leaves from their garden at Christmas and you can see how this would have looked as you walk round to hear stories of Christmases past.

Goddards, near York, will offer winter indulgence weekends where you can settle into a cosy chair in the old dining room, order a hearty lunch and hear the stories about the Terry family at Christmas.

The house will be house decorated with wreaths, candles and greenery, and they’ll be tasty treats including the legendary stocking filler, the Terry's Chocolate Orange.

Beningbrough Hall, Gallery and Gardens, also near York, will be open every weekend during December, as well as Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Get into the Christmas spirit by hand weaving a rustic wreath from scratch in our workshop whilst kids can get crafty too by joining our festive family 'artrageous' fun.

Nostell Priory and Parkland, near Wakefield, offers a vintage Christmas with grand state rooms decorated with foliage from the parkland including wreaths of larch and holly.

Visitors can get inspiration from our displays to make your own winter wreath in our crafty workshops and kids can come and see Father Christmas in his cosy workshop in the stables.

The Treasurer's House in York city centre will offer Christmas pudding scone, at its Below Stairs Cafe, where people can book for Christmas lunch.
