DO YOU want to join the search for the Old Bess stone?
This is a question for local walkers from the countryside team at Bradford Council.
Anthony Green will lead one of the first guided walks of the spring as he takes hikers along part of the Pennine Way on the Yorkshire-Lancashire border.
The group will walk to the Old Bess stone during the seven-mile circular walk, beginning at the Stanbury bus terminus on April 16 at 10.30am.
Coming up on Tuesday, April 12 will be a seven-mile circular walk to Tewitt Lane, starting from Saltaire railway station at 10.30am with Jeff Brodrick in the lead. There will be good paths including local packhorse trails, and a return along the Dalesway link.
Colin Pitts will lead a five-mile circular walk to celebrate Saltaire Heritage Weekend on April 17, setting off from the Roberts Park entrance at 10.30am.
Wharfe Wander is the title of a circular three-mile family walk on April 23, starting from the roundabout at the junction of Station Road and Main Street, Burley in Wharfedale, at 10.30am.
