KEIGHLEY storyteller and musician Jim Pickles is taking part in two separate Haworth Festival events.
He will lead a free ‘FunDrum’ on the lawn of the Haworth Old Hall pub, Sun Street, on Saturday, June 18, from 2pm to 4pm.
Jim said: “This will be a very informal session for hand-drummers and will be open to anyone with a drum that wishes to turn up. There will also be intermissions by didgeridoo players.”
The following day, Jim will lead a walk from Haworth Parish Church to Top Withins – reputedly the setting for Emily Brontë’s novel Wuthering Heights – via the Bronte Waterfalls.
The free activity sets off at 10am.
Jim said: “Due to steep and uneven terrain, this walk should only be undertaken by people comfortable with such conditions.
“Dogs on leads are welcome. A refreshment break is planned on the return. I'm hoping for good weather, because there is no alternatives planned if the weather isn't good!”
