LORDS Seat is the title of a circular 10-mile guided walk on Sunday, July 10 on the Bolton Abbey estate.

Meet Ken Allen at the Cavendish Pavilion, near Bolton Abbey, at 11am for a long walk on excellent paths at first, with good views returning along the River Wharfe.

The next Bradford Council guided walk will be along the Harden Grange Boundary on Wednesday July 13, setting off from the lower car park near the St Ives main entrance (A6429 Harden Road) at 11am.

Colin Pitts will lead the circular seven-mile walk, featuring woodland and countryside, to see how much land the Ferrands family owned.

The Brontë moors above Haworth, at the location for a circular eight-mile walk on July 17.

Meet Martin Dyche at 10.30am on the Haworth Parish Church steps, Main Street, for the walk to Top Withens and back along the Millennium Way.

Middleton Moor, Langbar and Nesfield will be visited by walkers during a seven-mile circular route on July 20.

Meet Howard Lloyd at 10.45am at Ilkley swimming pool for a gradual ascent to open moorland with excellent views followed by a descent into the scattered village of Langbar and the picturesque little community of Nesfield.
