A PAIR of Keighley district men have written and premiered a new comedy gangster short film.

Easy Does It is the work of Oliver Chapman and Jim Walker.

Mr Chapman, who is the director and lives in Oxenhope, said he and his team were now in the process of screening the 10-minute long film around the Keighley area.

He explained: "Easy Does It is a short film about inept gangsters, who hatch an eerily genius series of major thefts, in which the owners of safes are meant to not recognise that a theft has occurred.

"There is just one flaw in their plan...but I won't spoil the plot twist!

"We started with our location première at Oxenhope Social Club, [in April] which is where 80 per cent of the film was made, and the next screening will be in Bradford on June 6.

"The film has also been entered into a number of film festivals in the UK and across the globe, including Keighley's very own RATMA International Film Festival in July.

"We had a successful location première in Oxenhope and we're also going to hold an actual première at the Picture House Cinema at some point as well - once we have a date.

"We've had some interest from the BBC Bradford blog about the film."
