90 police carry out major drug raids
Eleven men were arrested when 90 police officers carried out dawn raids to crack down on class A drug dealers in Keighley.
Six of the arrested were charged with drug trafficking offences and are currently being dealt with by the courts and one was also charged with money laundering.
Two of the charged were youths aged 16.
During the raids, a substantial quantity of heroin and crack cocaine was recovered at one house and at another over £15,000 was found.
The targets were planned as part of a crack down on class A drug dealers across the country this week.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 7.30am on Monday, 90 police officers from crime division, Bradford district drugs team, operations support department, and the Bradford district executed ten search warrants in the Keighley area in relation to the supply of class A drugs.
"The men had earlier been filmed by under cover police officers who had arranged to buy drugs from them.
"Staff from the drugs and offender management unit linked in with local neighbourhood policing teams attending in the area to engage with the local drug users in order to offer fast track treatment services."
