An East Morton couple want to raise £40,000 to fund a life-changing operation for their grand-daughter.

The Rev Tony Cullingworth and his wife Barbara want to help three-and-a-half-year-old Skye Swinton.

Mr Cullingworth explained: “Skye was born 13 weeks early and, as a result, has cerebral palsy. This operation would mean she could play football, run, jump and be like a typical three-year-old.”

Skye lives with her parents, Ruth and John, in Cheltenham.

The grandparents’ first fundraiser is a coffee morning this Saturday from 10am to noon at Morton Institute.

People wanting to support the appeal can find out more at SkyesTheLimit.me.uk. They can donate by going to JustGiving.com/SkyesThe Limit or by texting SKYE55 followed by £1, £2, £3, £4, £5, or £10 to 70070. Texts are free.
