Help is at hand for South Craven people seeking information about care service providers in North Yorkshire.
A free directory to care services in the county, including guidance on paying and what financial help is available from the State, has been published.
It has been produced by Care Choices Ltd, in association with North Yorkshire County Council and the Independent Care Group.
County Councillor Clare Wood, executive member for adult social care, said: “Making decisions about social care can be daunting, particularly for people who have had no involvement with it before.
“This directory provides clear, easy-to-understand guidance. While the county council is not in a position to offer official endorsement to the organisations listed, it welcomes the publication of a directory which makes it very much easier for people to get information about the wide variety of services available.”
