The late charity campaigner Kate Hardcastle, who lived for many years in Silsden, has left a legacy of £91,817 to Pancreatic Cancer UK.

The money is the proceeds from selling a house owned by Kate, which she left to the charity in her will.

Kate, who moved to Bolton-le-Sands near Morecambe, had raised £14,000 for the charity.

She organised collections, events and sponsored activities following the death of her brother Terry in 2008 from pancreatic cancer.

Kate, 68, died last October from breast cancer, which was diagnosed following an operation for a brain tumour.
