Each Sunday from 1pm Sunday roast. This Sunday there is a birthday party to celebrate the first year of the Dickie Bird, from 1pm onwards.

Thwaites Brow Post Office can now sell euros over the counter and it is now an outlet for the National Lottery and it is open every day.

Keighley/Thwaites Brow Townswomen’s Guild meets in Long Lee Methodist Chapel on Monday at 7.15pm. There will be a party to celebrate their 52nd birthday.

This Saturday there will be an autumn fair at Long Lee Methodist Chapel from 10am-1.30pm. The usual stalls, raffle, a tombola and refreshments. Light lunches will be available from 11.30am.

The morning service at Long Lee Methodist Chapel was led by Janet Clark. She spoke about signs and their meaning, avoiding them could be disastrous. The New Testament reading was by Adrian Moore and his wife, Nola, was the Gospel reader. Music was provided by Brenda Wilkinson. The Rev Canon Bruce Grainger was the celebrant at the said holy communion service at St Barnabas Parish Church. He spoke of the danger of pride leading us into wrong actions and beliefs. He was also the celebrant at the later sung parish communion. Readers were Joyce Samuels and Marie Driver. Billy Clayton spoke about the work of a diocesan reader and asked people to consider what God had called them into His church to do. Intercessions were led by Canon Bruce and the chalice administered by Carl Pybus. Organist was Billy Clayton.
