A group of friends have so far raised £1,300 for Manorlands by taking part in a tash-tastic charity initiative.

Paul Reynard, of Keighley, and Chris Mcloughlin, of Cross Roads, got together a team to participate in this year’s Movember event.

The five men are being sponsored to grow moustaches until the end of the month.

In addition to Paul and Chris, the team also comprises Martin Thompson, from Long Lee, Ben Loftus, from Oakworth, and Marc Wilkie, from Leeds.

People can still donate at their uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/tashtastic7 online fundraising page.

Mr Reynard, of Oakworth Road, said he expected the famous five to raise about £2,000.

He added: “We decided to do this at the last minute, but Facebook has really helped us get a lot of money.

“But I can’t wait to get rid of my moustache! We want lots of people to join us again next year, when we aim to raise tens of thousands of pounds.”
