Factory’s recovery story featured on TV

First published in News

Haworth company Airedale Springs has been highlighted by the BBC for its success coping with a crisis.

Bosses appeared on TV on Tuesday morning to talk about how they recovered from a disastrous fire in 2010.

Brothers Tim and Sean Parkinson told how the company this year moved into a purpose-built replacement factory.

The new Spring Works, in Bridgehouse Lane, was officially opened last month by the Bishop of Bradford.

BBC News was broadcasting a live report throughout the breakfast show from the factory, linked to this week’s flooding across the UK, about how businesses can recover from disaster.

Airedale Springs chairman Tim Parkinson told BBC viewers how valuable local support was in helping Airedale Springs stay operational, then get its new factory built.
