Wilsden Primary School pupils are taking part in a Christmas-themed musical show.

The Orphan’s Christmas Wish aims to raise awareness of the need for adoptive parents and foster carers.

It is an adaptation of a Victorian fable, the Christmas Orange, and features modern-day seasonal songs. Wilsden’s choir will join other schools to perform in the show as the Voice in a Million choir.

Described as uplifting and inspirational, the show is touring across the UK during the festive season, with local schoolchildren providing the chorus in each area.

Voice in a Million choir was launched by Jo Garofalo and her husband after they adopted two children. They wanted to create awareness of the thousands of youngsters in the care system needing loving families.

The Orphan’s Christmas Wish is at St George’s Hall in Bradford tomorrow at 7.30pm. Call 01274 432000 for tickets.
